Haunt Publishing

Haunt Publishing was founded in 2018 by publishing professional Rebecca Wojturska, and is an independent publisher of Gothic, horror and dark fiction in all formats. Dedicated to exploring both traditional and contemporary Gothic and horror literature, Haunt holds a flickering candle to global and underrepresented voices. We publish books with the curse of unputdownability, that keep a reader up all night. Books that provoke unease, terror and dread. Basically, we publish books that haunt readers long after consuming them.

Haunt’s first book, Haunted Voices: An Anthology of Gothic Storytelling from Scotland, celebrated Scotland’s rich history of storytelling and the Gothic. Haunted Voices was released in print, ebook and audio (each storyteller performed their own story) and launched across eight events at a variety of bookshops and venues. This uncanny book sold out within less than two months and is now on its fourth print run.

Haunt then published Where Decay Sleeps by Anna Cheung, a debut collection of Gothic poetry which touched upon themes of birth, mental health, modern technology and monsters. This beautifully eerie collection has received multiple five-star reviews from media reviewers and book bloggers.

When Other People Saw Us, They Saw the Dead, an anthology of Gothic short stories from BIPOC writers (edited by Lauren T. Davila), and The Gingerbread Men, a Highland hotel horror novel from Joanna Corrance, followed.
